Fairest Blog

The wonderful book, Fairest by Gail Carson Levine, has 326 pages filled with excitement, romance, humor, and singing. The main characters in the book are Aza, and Prince Igori with Queen Ivi as a cruel and evil antagonist. Aza is very unattractive and wants to become beautiful. Everyone treats her like that's all she is, although she is also very nice and caring. In the end, everyone starts to treat her differently and changes their opinion about her because of her singing skills, and her marriage to Prince Ijori. The main antagonist in the book is Queen Ivi, who is tricky and selfish.

The main antagonist, Queen Ivi, is a trickster and is also very selfish. She uses Aza's singing skills for her own good. In the begining of the book, Queen Ivi seems very generous and nice to Aza. Later in the book she changes her attitude toward her and tricks her into doing a duet. Queen Ivi is also jealous of Aza's singing qualities. After reading this book, I recommend Fairest, because it teaches not to treat people by the way they look on the outside. It is also a very well-written story.
